I recall seeing Boyd visiting with his parent/s one day, and he’d only been there about 10 or 15 minutes before the visit became too much for him, and he was taken away from the visiting room supported by two Staff members. I knew who he was from previous visits, and also from telephone conversations with a couple of prisoners, both of whom said just how much pain the guy was in and how the only medication they were willing to give him was Paracetamol. I’m not a nurse, I’m not medically qualified at all, but it was EASY to see that he was a very ill man. When I heard that he had passed away, I felt so angry and sad – he suffered needlessly while he was in OCF 😦
