After working in the justice system for many years, I learned that the system is not as just as it could be – or should be. Instead of helping people make positive changes in their lives, the so-called justice system is like a vicious cycle; once someone gets caught up in it (ie arrested and convicted), it is very hard to escape. I wrote a book about these issues:
